I'm so tired of seeing commercials for a new 'Saw' movie every year or similar torture films. Ugh! 'Trick R Treat' is an old fashioned scary movie, almost John Carpenter-esque Whatever happened to good old fashioned scary movies, like 'Halloween,' 'The Shining,' or 'The Thing?' I cannot fathom why WB sent this movie straight to DVD. This little movie was one ball of horrific awesomeness. 'Trick r Treat' can be downloaded off itunes or rented from Blockbuster.
Plot: Weaves five delightful Halloween tales together: a husband and wife have very different views on Halloween, a serial killer masquerading as an everyday high school principal, a college virgin looking for her first love, a mean group of pre-teens who get the taste of their own medicine, and an old codger who hates Halloween.
