Ugh, this was absolute teeny bopper crap. Don't see it. Don't even talk about it. Don't even read my review. Yet another hollywood script writer thinks you're stupid.
Trailer
Plot: John Smith played by handsome newcomer Alex Pettyfer is an alien on the loose, sent to earth from the planet Krypton by Jorel his father...wait. That's another story. No, John is sent to earth from the planet Lorien by his father, alongside eight others to escape the Mogadorians, who destroyed their planet. He has his own personal guardian, Henri played by Timothy Olyphant, who clearly needed the money when he took this gig. John has superpowers, blah, blah, enhanced strength, speed and agility, telekinesis, and his hands are a lite bright.
So the Mogadorians come to earth to find the rogue alien kids, but John falls in love with Sarah, played by one of the glee girls (Dianna Agron) in Paradise, Ohio. There are a few stupid scenes in between and then another alien kid, Number Six, played by Teresa Palmer helps him out and they fight the big bads together. Then the two aliens leave to fight another day. I suppose this was supposed to be a sad, twilight-ending because John had to leave Sarah behind but at that point, I just didn't care. I just hope and pray that they don't make a sequel.
ONE STAR OUT OF FIVE
"Don't even read my review."
ReplyDeleteI got a laugh out of this. Not a very good movie at all. When a character shows up more than half the way through the movie and turns out to be far more interesting than the main characters we've been seeing, that's not a good sign. I was wishing the movie had been I Am Number Six.
