The plot is about a young girl sent to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in their recently renovated Victorian manor. The manor is of course inhabited by creatures of some sort. The original version had a similar premise. I can't wait to see what Guillermo's take will be on the original film. I'm not a big fan of remakes, but this one looks scary good.

not really my cup of tea, but sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteCompletely my cup of tea :) Will watch this one on the premiere night.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand this not being your cup of tea. I think if it were starring Kristin Stewart and directed by the random horror director of the week, it wouldn't be my cup of tea either. I want to see this film for Guillermo del Toro, the writer of the film. He's just that good.
ReplyDeletethis is my cup of tea
ReplyDeleteWhy this took so long to get to theatres I don't know, but I'll be waiting in line opening night.
ReplyDeleteI loved the original back when made for TV movies had production value and were good and they actually made horror TV movies. Hope this is just as good, with Guillermo it has a big chance to be.
