The Movie Everyone Is Talking About

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is the new remake everyone is talking about.  Written by Guillermo del Toro and directed Troy Nixey there's already a lot of buzz surrounding the film.  Considering 'Pan's Labyrinth.' I think we're in for it-- in a good way.

The plot is about a young girl sent to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in their recently renovated Victorian manor.  The manor is of course inhabited by creatures of some sort.  The original version had a similar premise.  I can't wait to see what Guillermo's take will be on the original film.  I'm not a big fan of remakes, but this one looks scary good.

  3. I completely understand this not being your cup of tea. I think if it were starring Kristin Stewart and directed by the random horror director of the week, it wouldn't be my cup of tea either. I want to see this film for Guillermo del Toro, the writer of the film. He's just that good.
