Oh man, this sounds like a winner to me....
ReplyDeleteI kind of like Gus Van Sant.
Ever seen Last Days???
I really like him as well. Every now and then he's hit or miss, but then he shoots one out of the ballpark. I remember really liking My Own Private Idaho when I was a teenager. I liked Elephant too.
ReplyDelete...a kamikaze pilot ghost, I'm interested.
ReplyDeleteI am quite wary out Restless, despite loving Gus Van Sant (I could go on about My Own Private Idaho until the cows come home.)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this one will be a home run or not, but I'd like to think it will be good - so here's hoping!
@Angry Lurker-- It's certainly something I've never seen before. I don't think I've ever seen a film depict a kamikaze pilot ghost.
ReplyDeleteIt's certainly a subject that interests me. Memorial Day before last, I spent all day watching WWII in HD on the history channel.
@Cherokee-- Yep. He can be hit or miss, but I may give this one a chance.
ReplyDeleteI always have room for Van Sant, so I will definitely give it a go even though the trailer indicates that it is just a happy-go-lucky romcom, but from experience, I know never to trust a trailer.
ReplyDeleteYeah I don't do rom-coms. Hopefully it's not one of those. Romantic tragedies--those I do.
ReplyDeleteSounds different but still interesting! I'm looking forward to it.
