Walking Dead Season 3 Sneak Peek

The Walking Dead's highly anticipated third season will be returning this October. In the meantime, Entertainment Weekly gives us a first look at what's to come in Season 3. It appears that our fearless heroes have finaly made it the 'relative' safety of the prison. Fans of the comic will recall the prison as the primary location for much of the comic book series and fan favorite storylines.
EW quotes showrunner Glen Mazzara as saying that the "prison itself is now a character in the show. It’s a haunted house, it’s scary, it’s frightening, and there are parts of the prison that are always terrifying, that are always inaccessible to our group. It’s not necessarily the blessing that the prison in the comic book turned out to be.”
Hopefully Season 3 won't be as "talky" as the first part of Season 2 was. After AMC abruptly fired Frank Darabont and slashed the show's budget (you can read about that here), the first half of Season 2 seemed rather dull without zombies. The second half of Season 2 quickly made up for lost time and ended with a bang. From the set photos, it looks like Season 3 will be very exciting.

Side note: We were fortunate to see (and sometimes meet) some of the cast of 'The Walking Dead' at Dragon Con. My sister met Norman Reedus (Daryl) and my husband met Steven Yeun (Glenn). You can see the pictures here. Thankfully, the cast of 'The Walking Dead' is just as wonderful off screen as they are on screen!
Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) is the baddest (as in coolest) man on television

  1. I must be the only person in the world who does not like zombies. Though people tell me this is a good series.

  3. Paul- The great thing about this series is that it's not really about zombies. (I know it's a contradiction right?). It's really about the people and their reactions to the zombies. You should really check it out.

Bersecules-- Me too. I really enjoyed the comics. I finished the most recent ones. The good thing is that the comics are so different than the tv series, while maintaining the integrity of the comics.
