George Clooney and Sandra Bullock - Behind the Scenes in 'Gravity' |
Great directors make filmmaking look effortless. Most of time however, it's anything but.
'Gravity' is one of those "effortless" looking films that actually took A LOT OF EFFORT. 'Gravity' isn't a perfect film, but it's pretty close. It was certainly one of the best films of 2013 and a technical marvel. If you're like me then you always want to know "how'd they do that?" I am especially curious about how they make technically complicated films. It's a five minute video, but it's well worth the watch.
If you haven't seen 'Gravity' yet, you can see a brief synopsis
here. At its core 'Gravity' is a survivalist film.
Sandra Bullock and
George Clooney play stranded astronauts fighting to survive in the harshest environment imaginable.
The floating scene, especially that one where she's in the fetal position, are just amazing.
ReplyDeleteAlex-- Thanks. I couldn't agree more. It was so cool to watch the making of it. I knew how they did it in 'Apollo 13' but I wasn't sure how they did it in 'Gravity.'
ReplyDeleteThis film really deserves all the awards out there. It's unbelievable how realistic it looks on screen.
ReplyDeleteSati-- I agree! It was my favorite film of 2013. I've heard some folks complain about it, but I just loved it.
