BEHIND THE SCENES - 'Gravity'

Great directors make filmmaking look effortless. Most of time however, it's anything but. 'Gravity' is one of those "effortless" looking films that actually took A LOT OF EFFORT. 'Gravity' isn't a perfect film, but it's pretty close. It was certainly one of the best films of 2013 and a technical marvel. If you're like me then you always want to know "how'd they do that?" I am especially curious about how they make technically complicated films. It's a five minute video, but it's well worth the watch.

If you haven't seen 'Gravity' yet, you can see a brief synopsis here. At its core 'Gravity' is a survivalist film. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney play stranded astronauts fighting to survive in the harshest environment imaginable.

    Alex-- Thanks. I couldn't agree more. It was so cool to watch the making of it. I knew how they did it in 'Apollo 13' but I wasn't sure how they did it in 'Gravity.'

    This film really deserves all the awards out there. It's unbelievable how realistic it looks on screen.

    Sati-- I agree! It was my favorite film of 2013. I've heard some folks complain about it, but I just loved it.
